When you get to know your clients really well, it not only becomes easier to design a space for them, but it becomes easier to design a space that perfectly reflects them and exudes their personality. And if your client happens to be a business, that means designing a space that also reflects their brand.
Over the past few years, we’ve gotten to know our local friends over at Intrigue Media very well. We’ve actually been their client for a while, but that relationship has developed into a great friendship. It sometimes seems like the folks over at Intrigue are kind of like our extended family, which made it all the more exciting when they approached us to help them design their new office space right here in Guelph. Of course, we said yes and dove right into helping them create an office that dreams are made of!
They could not have chosen a more amazing space to move to – this beautiful, old heritage building was converted into new office space for the growing Intrigue Media team.
As we do with our residential clients, we started by sitting down with Intrigue for an initial consultation to get a grasp on the layout of their new building space as well as listen to their ideas, wants and needs. Some clients have an idea of what they want to implement but want some guidance with the execution while others let us have free reign – this meeting helps hash all of those details out.
From there, the design starts to develop as we work together to make recommendations for their space. For this office design project, we helped source flooring, paint colours, office furniture and interior materials and finishes that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing (we call this the eye candy!). Both function and form are equally important – it needs to be comfortable and meet the needs of the people working there, but also needs to appear warm and welcoming for their clients (both current and potential).
Many months and design meetings later, here is there new home today. This new space is full of vibrancy and passion, inspired by the hard-working and driven people that work there altogether under one roof – the Intrigue family.
